longwinded and dull. read at your own risk.

weelllll, the defensive dream didn't happen last night. changing direction from backpedaling to forward sprinting is still way slow. rie ran me around a bit, but i contend half of that is my marker's fault. i wanted to practice forcing backhand...

i had some nice deep cuts, and by cuts, i mean i would stand 20 feet behind her, stationary, someone would throw it, i would run and catch it. i don't know why she was giving me so much room. anyways, the ankle felt very good. the throwing is still sloppy. a few very good connections with roberto tho.

i'm missing two flaps of skin on the back of my heels. this is annoying.

spun this morning..i can't quite get the new bikes. i always feel very tired for the 10 seconds or so when i'm maxing out, but the recovery is very fast, and it doesn't seem cardio at all. i have no trouble walking up the stairs afterwards. as much as i'd like to attribute this ease to a raising of my fitness level, my performance on d proves otherwise. so, how do i stop being a lazy bum? stop being afraid of the wall. you haven't hit it yet.

i always sweat a lot in those classes, but i've learned to stop trusting sweat as an indication of workout intensity a long time ago.

today, i'm back in heels. more b/c i forgot my work-okay flat shoes than b/c of any conscious decision. also, it would've sucked to have to carry 3 pairs of shoes around (running shoes for spinning, cleats for frisbee, flats for work? no thankee sirree sirrah--okay, so technically j is carrying my cleats, whatever).

disc tonight. goal: shutdown d like i know i can play. no more handblocks b/c she won't touch the disc. on o: look for hammer opportunities, and break with the around backhand.
