longwinded and dull. read at your own risk.

my skinned knee won't heal. everytime i bend it i rip off the scab again. on the other hand, it's not infected either, so i'm ok with this limbo it's in. apparently i can run 10 min miles without bending my left knee (this morning i ran 2). my gas comes in cannisters, and i think i'm out, which means no hot water, which means i need to shower at the gym, which means i need to go to the gym.

tuesday i ran a shuttle workout, only did three sets where the boys did 4 (i came late), but i felt lightheaded and exhausted during the whole thing, like my head was way too heavy for my neck (i guess that's not lightheaded, eh?). i've never felt closer to fainting. afterwards, we threw a bit, and the first one i had to jump for, my calf cramped up (which reminded me of that shot of yelena in the video). i didn't even push myself that hard on the turns (being careful for my left ankle, which rolled slightly at sunday's practice--where i shut down eucy, although she played without a shirt on and she had really nice abs, which was intimidating at first until i realized that my flubberly tumbly could keep up with her). anywho, i think the workout taught me how to fire on the quad cylinders better. kicking it up a notch!

worlds in two days! catching and throwing almost daily this week!

today i'm tired in a hold my chin way.

i should rename this blog shower thoughts or some such truck.

23:15 5k while watching patriots dvd. didn't even get to the actual superbowl game. after a while, it got kinda tiresome because there were never any valleys, only hills...it was a very one sided video. but. the patriots won almost every game on a "miracle". it was never expected of them--they were often the underdog. at the beginning of the season, they lost some key players, but they didn't get down about it. they just played their game. no one else is going to feel sorry for them, give them concessions. lots of games they came from behind to win it. they are a very tough team. they never stopped fighting, and as a result, amazing things happened.

i get to choose what i eat every day. how blessed is that?

right ankle still has much less mobility than the left.

when you get tired, remember how you felt when you ran your first mile on a treadmill. i mean, remember how you felt afterwards, you dolt. freshman year, a debate tournament. jacque had just done it...i kinda did it on a dare. and pain from a dare is expected. just kept watching the stupid little lights going one around the track. longest mile ever. every last mile is thast first mile.
